Position: Manual Tester
Location: Noida
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing activities for software products developed in C/C++.
- Conduct functional testing, regression tests, system testing, integration testing, and database testing.
- Verify network communication over sockets using protocols like SSH, TLS/SSL.
- Prepare, review, and execute test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Develop test scripts and automated test suites where applicable.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and report bugs using established bug tracking systems.
- Prepare and maintain test design documentation for future reference.
- Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Work with Linux OS and utilize shell scripting, Python, and Perl for testing purposes.
- Conduct GUI testing for applications developed in GTK/Glade/QT on Linux (advantageous).
- Work with databases, including SQL queries, database triggers/cursors, and PL/SQL (desirable).
- Contribute to the testing of video/camera-based systems (if applicable).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the software products.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in C/C++.
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and techniques.
- Familiarity with functional testing, regression tests, system testing, integration testing, and database testing.
- Experience working with protocols such as SSH, TLS/SSL for network communication over sockets.
- Proficiency in test case preparation, review, execution, and bug reporting.
- Experience with Linux OS and scripting languages like shell scripting, Python, and Perl.
- Advantageous if experienced in GUI testing developed in GTK/Glade/QT on Linux.
- Familiarity with databases, including SQL queries, database triggers/cursors, and PL/SQL (desirable).
- Experience in testing video/camera-based systems will be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
