Role and Responsibilities:
As a Manual Test Engineer at Zerozilla, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Working in a collaborative environment, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases to identify and report defects. Your expertise in database testing, API testing using Postman, web application testing, and mobile app testing will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases that cover all aspects of functionality and user scenarios.
- Test Execution: Conduct manual testing of software applications, including web applications and mobile apps, to validate their functionality and user experience. Perform database testing to verify data integrity and accuracy.
- API Testing using Postman: Execute API testing using Postman to validate the functionality and integration of APIs with the applications.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Accurately document and report software defects using appropriate bug tracking tools. Provide detailed steps to reproduce issues and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
- Test Documentation: Maintain clear and organized test documentation, including test scenarios, test data, and test results, to facilitate effective communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Mobile App Testing: Conduct mobile app testing on different devices and operating systems to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
- Cross-Browser Testing: Perform cross-browser testing to validate that web applications function correctly across different browsers and platforms.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to verify that fixed defects and new enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the QA process by suggesting process enhancements, test methodologies, and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in database testing, API testing using Postman, web application testing, and mobile app testing.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management tools to document and manage defects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify defects and root causes.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive test documentation.
- Experience with cross-browser testing and mobile app testing on different platforms is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
