Job Summary: As a Manual Test Engineer at Lava International, you will be an integral part of our Quality Assurance team, responsible for ensuring the functionality, performance, and usability of our mobile products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to validate and enhance the quality of our mobile devices. Your expertise in manual testing and your understanding of the mobile domain will play a critical role in delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements, specifications, and user stories.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases to verify the functionality and usability of mobile products.
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues through rigorous testing and thorough analysis.
  • Perform manual testing across various stages of product development, including feature testing, regression testing, and compatibility testing.
  • Validate mobile applications’ performance, responsiveness, and user interface to ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Participate in test planning and strategy discussions, providing input to enhance the overall testing process.
  • Document and report defects using established defect tracking tools and methodologies.
  • Communicate test results, progress, and potential risks to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the development team to reproduce and isolate issues for effective resolution.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in mobile testing methodologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting enhancements and process optimizations.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years of proven experience as a Manual Test Engineer, preferably within the mobile domain.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing manual test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Experience in testing mobile applications across various platforms, including Android and iOS.
  • Knowledge of mobile usability principles and best practices for creating user-friendly interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and communicate defects effectively.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools to document and manage testing activities.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear feedback.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
