Job Description:

Outworks Solution, a leading provider of software solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manual QA Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to join our team for an exciting in-house project. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manual testing, with expertise in API testing, database testing, and mobile app testing. If you have a deep understanding of software development and testing lifecycles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Skills Required:

  1. Manual Testing

  3. Hands-on experience with Mobile App Testing
  4. Good understanding of SDLC and STLC
  5. Automation testing will be an added advantage
  6. Good communication skills required

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
  2. API Testing: Conduct API testing to verify the functionality, performance, and security of APIs used within the software.
  3. Database Testing: Validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through comprehensive database testing.
  4. Mobile App Testing: Perform testing on mobile applications to ensure they function correctly on various devices and operating systems.
  5. SDLC and STLC: Apply a good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) to effectively plan and execute test activities.
  6. Automation Testing (Optional): If experienced, contribute to automation testing efforts to improve testing efficiency.
  7. Defect Reporting: Use defect tracking tools to identify, document, and prioritize defects, and work closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolutions.
  8. Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  9. Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project managers, to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in manual testing.
  • Strong expertise in API testing and database testing.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile app testing.
  • Proficient understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Experience with automation testing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
