Position: Lead Test Engineer

Cropdata Technology Ltd, a leading agricultural technology company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the testing efforts for our agricultural software solutions, ensuring the adherence to quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and define test strategies.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk analysis, business impact, and customer requirements.
  • Execute manual tests and record test results, including identifying and documenting software defects in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with development teams to investigate and resolve software defects, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high-quality product.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review test plans, test results, and provide regular updates on testing progress and any associated risks.
  • Mentor and guide a team of test engineers, providing technical expertise, support, and feedback to improve the overall testing process.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and trends in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Continuously assess and enhance the testing process, tools, and methodologies to improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team and across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer, with a minimum of 6 to 12 years of experience in manual testing.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing manual test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues.
  • Experience in testing agricultural software solutions or related domains is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of test engineers.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
