Job Description:

Conduent is seeking an IT Testing Engineer I to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IT solutions, with a focus on manual testing. If you have 1 to 3 years of experience in manual testing, knowledge of hardware (HW) or database (DB) domains, and a passion for delivering high-quality software, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual Functional Testing: Conduct manual functional testing, including but not limited to, black-box testing, usability testing, and web UI testing. Ensure that software applications meet specified requirements and functional criteria.
  • Test Script Development: Develop effective test scripts based on project requirements, user stories, and test cases. Create test cases that cover a wide range of scenarios to identify defects and issues.
  • Domain Knowledge: Apply your knowledge of hardware (HW) or database (DB) domains to effectively test software solutions within these domains. Understand the unique challenges and requirements of the respective domain.
  • Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
  • Test Planning: Assist in test planning activities, including test strategy development, test schedule creation, and test environment setup.
  • Reporting: Generate comprehensive test reports to communicate test results, test coverage, and any issues encountered. Maintain accurate and organized test documentation.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to ensure alignment with project goals and product requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in manual testing, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with hardware (HW) or database (DB) domains is a plus, demonstrating the ability to understand and test solutions in these areas.
  • Functional Testing: Proficiency in manual functional testing techniques, including black-box testing, usability testing, and web UI testing.
  • Test Script Development: Experience in developing effective test scripts from project requirements and user stories.
  • Defect Management: Knowledge of defect tracking tools and processes to ensure timely identification and resolution of issues.
  • Test Planning: Ability to participate in test planning activities and contribute to test strategy and schedule development.
  • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and prioritize issues effectively.
