Position: Automation Testing Engineer

As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated test scripts. Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and assist in defining the scope and objectives of automation testing.
- Test Strategy: Contribute to the development of the overall test strategy, including the selection of appropriate automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Test Script Development: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks.
- Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
- Test Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain automated test scripts to accommodate changes in the software and ensure their accuracy and relevance.
- Defect Reporting: Document and report software defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Test Documentation: Create detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and test procedures for future reference.
- Test Analysis: Analyze test results and identify patterns or trends to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that software updates and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the testing practices within the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements and testing goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 – 7 years of experience in automation testing.
- Automation Testing Tools: Strong proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Programming Languages: Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for test script development.
- Test Frameworks: Familiarity with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) or TDD (Test-Driven Development) frameworks is desirable.
- Test Methodologies: Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
- Test Script Development: Demonstrated ability to design and develop robust and maintainable automated test scripts.
- Defect Tracking: Experience in using bug tracking tools to report and track defects.
- Test Documentation: Strong documentation skills to maintain detailed test cases and test results.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot software issues effectively.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate test results and collaborate with team members.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
