Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and fellow QA team members, to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
  • Conduct rigorous manual testing to identify and report defects, ensuring they are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Utilize white box and gray box testing techniques to ensure thorough coverage of test scenarios.
  • Perform regression testing to verify the stability and integrity of existing features after code changes or updates.
  • Work closely with the development team to communicate test results and provide necessary details to facilitate defect resolution.
  • Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy activities to ensure effective testing coverage.
  • Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in manual testing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of software applications.
  • Good knowledge of white box and gray box testing techniques.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and communicate defects effectively.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test case management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills (not mandatory but a plus):

  • Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
