Description for Associate QA Engineer:
As an Associate QA Engineer at TIBCO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Business Process Management products. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of quality assurance, including test creation, execution, defect identification, reporting, and re-testing. The Quality Assurance (QA) team forms the bedrock of our commitment to delivering products that meet customer requirements and adhere to specifications. This role will require the automation of the testing process using proprietary tools and scripting languages, as well as contributing to process improvement initiatives related to work procedures and software test tools.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and specifications.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring thorough evaluation of product functionality and performance.
- Identify defects, document them in a timely manner, and perform re-testing once issues are resolved.
- Contribute to the automation of the testing process using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, etc.
- Combine manual and automated testing approaches to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Utilize your knowledge of programming languages such as JAVA, JavaScript, or other scripting languages to enhance testing processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, to streamline the testing and deployment pipeline.
- Work with at least one database technology, such as Oracle or MS SQL, to validate data integrity and system interactions.
- Display strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, enhancing work procedures and software test tools.
- ISTQB certification would be advantageous, showcasing your commitment to quality assurance best practices.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS or Azure would be a valuable addition to the role.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance.
- A degree in BE/BTech/ME/MTech in the Computer Science field or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of programming languages, such as JAVA or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of at least one database technology, such as Oracle or MS SQL.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- ISTQB certification would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies like AWS or Azure would be a plus.
