Role Overview: Finastra is seeking highly motivated and talented Associate QA Engineers to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team in Pune. As an Associate QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge software products in the banking domain. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform manual testing of software applications/packages in the banking domain to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  2. Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate software functionality and identify defects.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand software requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  4. Utilize SQL knowledge to perform database testing and validate data integrity and accuracy.
  5. Demonstrate a good understanding of testing processes, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  6. Gain exposure to automation testing and contribute to automated test scripts and frameworks.
  7. Apply testing expertise to assess the performance, security, and scalability of software applications.
  8. Familiarity with basic Unix commands to support testing activities and troubleshoot issues.
  9. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey test results, progress, and issues to stakeholders.
  10. Continuously improve testing processes and efficiency, seeking opportunities for innovation and optimization.

Required Skills:

  1. Must have completed any software testing course, showcasing a fundamental understanding of testing principles.
  2. Prior experience in manual testing is required, and exposure to automation testing will be an added advantage.
  3. Proficient in SQL to conduct database testing and data validation.
  4. Strong knowledge of testing processes, activities, and best practices.
  5. Familiarity with the banking domain and understanding of financial software applications is preferred.
  6. Basic knowledge of Unix commands to support testing activities.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  8. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, methodologies, and testing tools.
  9. Knowledge of GPP testing is a plus.
  10. Familiarity with testing tools like JIRA/ALM is preferred.
