Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand project requirements and API/database functionalities.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for API and database testing.
  • Conduct manual testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues in APIs and databases.
  • Validate API endpoints, data integrity, and communication between software components.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure APIs and databases meet quality standards.
  • Execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy and perform database testing.
  • Document test results, track defects using issue tracking tools, and communicate testing progress effectively.
  • Collaborate with QA leads to ensure project milestones are achieved and quality goals are met.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 4 to 5 years in manual testing, specifically in API and database testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
  • Experience in validating API endpoints, data integrity, and interactions.
  • Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries for database testing.
  • Excellent analytical skills to identify and report defects accurately.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for ensuring software quality.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks is a plus.
