Position: Lead Test Engineer – Automotive (Systems Engineering)

The Role:

We are seeking a System Integration and Test Engineer who will support GKN ePowertrain AWD/eDrive Product development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and align system requirements and design test specifications
  • Work in close collaboration with system requirement engineers and system architects
  • Create, review and align system test specifications in co-ordination with system test manager
  • Develop test specifications and test cases against requirements as well as experience based tests
  • Develop and execute manual and / or automated tests on virtual test environment, target ECU and HIL
  • Analyze test results, evaluate fulfillment of requirements on target system level and create corresponding test reports
  • Establish bidirectional traceability
  • Participate in ASPICE audits (both internal and external)
  • Analyse Defects and Changes.
  • Support Test Manager on detailed planning and team coordination.
  • Setup and maintain the System testing environment.

Who you’ll be:

  • To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience on System Qualification test within the Automotive industry or a related environment.

Essential Skills

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Engineering or Post Graduate Engineering degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in Automotive domain
  • Hands on experience in Powertrain or Chassis domain
  • Experience working with HIL and knowledge of system communication protocols like CAN/ CAN FD /LIN / Ethernet and diagnostics
  • Experience with Vector tools such as CANOe, CANAnalyser & CANApe
  • Hands on experience on configuration management tools like JIRA, SVN & Windchill
  • Competent in usage of tools like DOORS, POLARIAN & PTC Integrity
  • Experience on problem management tools like JIRA & PTC Integrity
  • Knowledge of use test equipment, including Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Wave Generator, etc.,
  • Review and understanding of System requirement and Architecture
  • Good knowledge of Powertrain, Diagnostics & UDS modules
  • ISTQB foundation level certification or equivalent
