Job Description

Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Masters in Computer Applications with 12+ years of experience in wide range of tools and technologies related to Quality Engineering.
• Strong experience in designing and building efficient and highly maintainable automated test suites deployed in CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) in Tricentis Tosca, including its implementation in enterprise landscape, administration and integration with DevOps tools using Tosca Connect.
• Excellent understanding of and passion for technology and architecture concepts.
• Experience in cloud technologies and DevOps tools and practices.
• Hands on experience of working with APIs and cognitive technologies (AI/ML).
• Analytical ability to objectively evaluate technology solutions and recommend the best fit.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with proven record of business-facing capabilities.
• Self-motivated to take complete ownership and drive initiatives end to end.
• Passionate individual with an attitude to fail fast and learn quickly.
• Ability to collaborate with global stakeholders and deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Test Architect level certification in Tosca is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify opportunities to enhance maturity of testing processes across software development lifecycle using technology solutions.
• Build and/or deploy automated Quality Engineering solutions / accelerators to improve speed to market across wide range of technology platforms.
• Provide subject matter expertise on adoption of cognitive technologies to improve resiliency of automated test suites.
• Build capability on technical aspects of testing including security and performance engineering.
• Enable continuous quality improvement and innovation by leveraging industry standard best practices, processes and contemporary tools like Tricentis Tosca.
• Engage with global stakeholders to identify opportunities for deploying automated Quality Engineering solutions that meet their needs, and develop value propositions.
• Conceptualize, design, develop and implement automated solutions for various testing activities in Agile development lifecycle using Tricentis Tosca and other advanced technologies.
• Define and publish key performance metrics for the automated testing.
• Mentor federated QA teams for developing test automation architecture/framework with focus on maximum ROI and reduced maintenance.
• Provide thought leadership to Federated QA teams on adoption and deployment of cognitive technologies to make automated testing self-healing and resilient to inevitable changes in software.
• Evaluate, finalize and deploy cloud based / SaaS tools and solutions that meet the expectations of Eaton stakeholders.
• Influence global IT teams for adoption of these solutions and mentor them for effectively leveraging them for optimum results.
• Create and maintain playbooks that enables practitioners to deploy the automated solutions. Ensure documentation is kept up to date on a regular cadence.
• Collaborate with enterprise and solution architects within IT to understand technology roadmaps, and identify opportunities to contribute from testing perspective.
• Review and analyze effectiveness of technology solutions in Quality Engineering on quarterly basis, and identify opportunities to enhance capabilities based in inputs/feedback from stakeholders.
• Establish a capability development roadmap for implementation of these solutions and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Engage with vendor partners, professional organizations and thought leaders to stay current with technology.
