Position: Test Engineer

Location: Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer with expertise in ETL testing and TestNG. If you are passionate about data validation, have experience working with Big Data technologies, and are proficient in creating Automation Frameworks using TestNG, we invite you to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Validation: Perform data validation activities using ETL testing methodologies and tools. Verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data across various data sources and ETL processes.
  2. Test Automation: Develop and implement Automation Frameworks using TestNG to facilitate efficient and reliable testing of ETL processes. Write automated test scripts for data validation, regression testing, and integration testing.
  3. Test Case Design: Create comprehensive test cases and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications. Ensure test cases cover all possible scenarios to achieve high test coverage.
  4. Test Execution: Execute test cases and report defects promptly, accurately documenting test results and providing clear and concise defect descriptions. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely defect resolution.
  5. Data Quality Assurance: Identify and report data quality issues and anomalies during the testing process. Work closely with data engineers and other teams to resolve data-related problems.
  6. Big Data Validation (Optional): If experienced with Big Data technologies, perform data validation on Big Data platforms. Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or other Big Data tools will be an advantage.
  7. Test Planning and Reporting: Participate in test planning activities, including effort estimation and test strategy development. Generate test reports and communicate testing progress to project stakeholders.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest ETL testing and TestNG best practices and tools. Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to enhancing testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience in ETL testing and TestNG.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL testing methodologies and tools (Any ETL tool experience is acceptable).
  • Proficiency in creating and implementing Automation Frameworks using TestNG.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
