Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Comprehensive Test Plans for ETL Processes: Utilize your expertise in ETL testing to conceptualize, design, and create detailed and effective test plans that cover all aspects of the ETL processes. Ensure that the test plans address data transformation, integration, migration, and overall data quality.
  • Execute Manual and Automated Tests: Employ a combination of manual and automated testing techniques to meticulously validate data integration, transformation, and overall ETL processes. Leverage your proficiency in tools like SSIS to conduct rigorous testing and identify potential defects.
  • Collaborate with Teams and Developers: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and business analysts, to identify, report, and resolve defects. Collaborate effectively to ensure timely resolution and enhancement of ETL processes.
  • Maintain Testing Documentation: Keep meticulous records of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results. Document defects and issues accurately, along with their resolution. Contribute to a repository of testing artifacts to ensure consistency and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Identify areas of improvement within the testing process, methodologies, and tools. Proactively suggest enhancements to streamline testing procedures and enhance data quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications in software testing or data-related disciplines will be a plus.
  • Proven experience of 4-8 years as a Test Engineer with a specialization in ETL testing. Deep understanding of ETL processes and concepts.
  • Proficiency in ETL testing tools and methodologies, particularly with a strong command of SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
  • Experience in both manual and automated testing approaches. Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools will be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality results.
