Best Headphones for your interviewJob Description: Xoriant is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with expertise in ETL development and testing, as well as hands-on experience with DataStage, Teradata, or Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in ETL development and testing and at least 2 years of relevant experience in GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Big Data technologies, Apache Spark, and Python. This role will be based in Chennai and will require onsite work.

- ETL Development: Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using DataStage, Teradata, or other relevant ETL tools to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from different sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Big Data Technologies: Work with Big Data technologies to process and analyze large volumes of data efficiently.
- GCP Expertise: Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for data storage, processing, and analytics, and maintain expertise in GCP services.
- Apache Spark: Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Apache Spark for large-scale data transformations and analytics.
- Programming: Write and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and data quality checks.
- Data Testing: Perform comprehensive data testing, including data quality assurance and performance testing, to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of ETL processes, data workflows, and data architecture.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize ETL processes and data pipelines for improved performance and scalability.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in ETL development and testing.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with GCP, Big Data technologies, Apache Spark, and Python.
- Strong knowledge of DataStage, Teradata, or similar ETL tools.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
