Position: ETL Testing Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Company Overview: Spruce InfoTech, Inc is a leading multinational technology company providing cutting-edge solutions to its clients. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced ETL Testing Specialist with strong SQL skills and familiarity with Agile processes. This is a contract-to-hire (C2H) role and the position will be based at our offshore location. The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years of relevant experience in QA and ETL Testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. Responsibilities:

  1. ETL Testing: Lead and execute end-to-end ETL testing processes, including data validation, data quality checks, and data integration testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues and ensure the smooth flow of data across various systems.
  2. Strong SQL Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources. Analyze data discrepancies and work towards optimizing database performance.
  3. Agile Process: Embrace Agile methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
  4. Data Automation Implementation: Design and implement automated test scripts for ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy and minimizing manual intervention. Continuously enhance the automation framework to keep pace with evolving business requirements.
  5. Data Validation: Validate and reconcile data from different sources to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and report data quality issues, working closely with development teams to resolve them.
  6. BI Reporting: Utilize your strong knowledge of BI reporting tools to validate and verify data reports, ensuring they align with business requirements. Troubleshoot data discrepancies in reporting and collaborate with the BI team for effective resolutions.
  7. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defects throughout the testing process. Keep the testing artifacts up-to-date for reference and audit purposes.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices related to ETL testing. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the testing lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of relevant professional experience in QA and ETL Testing.
  • Proven expertise in ETL Testing with hands-on experience in data validation, data quality checks, and data integration testing.
  • Exceptional skills in writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Experience in implementing data automation and proficiency in automation tools is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of BI reporting tools and experience validating data reports.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Positive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies and processes.

Contract Terms:

  • Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H) with potential for permanent placement.
  • Location: Offshore (specific location will be disclosed during the interview process).
  • Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience in QA & ETL Testing.
  • Notice Period: 30 days.
