Position:ETL Testing / Big Data Testing
Responsibilities:
- Conduct end-to-end testing of ETL processes and Big Data solutions, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality and performance of ETL processes and Big Data solutions.
- Perform data profiling, data validation, and data quality analysis to identify and address any issues or anomalies in the data.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and data scientists to understand requirements, translate them into test cases, and ensure proper test coverage.
- Design and maintain test data sets and test environments, ensuring data privacy and security.
- Identify and document defects, track them through resolution, and validate fixes to ensure the integrity and quality of the ETL processes and Big Data solutions.
- Conduct performance and scalability testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize the performance of ETL processes and Big Data solutions.
- Provide timely and accurate test status reports, test metrics, and test coverage reports to project stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and tools related to ETL Testing and Big Data Testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL Testing and Big Data Testing.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data integration techniques, and data warehousing principles.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation.
- Experience in testing tools and frameworks such as Informatica PowerCenter, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
- Solid knowledge of data quality testing, data profiling, and data validation techniques.
- Familiarity with Big Data platforms and tools like Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and HBase.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting for test automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
- Certifications in ETL Testing or Big Data Testing would be a plus.
Salary: The salary for this position is 20 LPA (Lakhs per annum), commensurate with experience and qualifications.
