Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead DevOps Engineer for one of our esteemed retail clients. This role is based in Bangalore and is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS cloud. Candidates with experience in migration and deployment processes are highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- DevOps Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers.
- Define and implement DevOps best practices and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and automation.
- Shell Scripting and Automation:
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation of tasks and processes.
- Ensure the automation of repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Containerization and Orchestration:
- Design, implement, and manage Docker containers.
- Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Configuration Management:
- Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Ensure consistency and reliability in deployment processes using configuration management tools.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Manage cloud resources and infrastructure in an automated manner.
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Set up and manage Jenkins pipelines for CI/CD processes.
- Ensure seamless integration and continuous delivery of applications.
- AWS Cloud Management:
- Leverage AWS services to build and maintain scalable infrastructure.
- Ensure optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency of AWS environments.
- Lead cloud migration and deployment projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 9 to 11 years of relevant experience in DevOps roles.
- Proven expertise in Shell scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
- Strong knowledge and experience with AWS cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with migration and deployment projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell.
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Extensive experience with configuration management using Ansible.
- Strong background in infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud architecture and services.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or other related technologies.
- Experience in the retail industry or similar domains.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and deployment.
