Our DevOps Team is responsible for the automation and deployment of all services and leads efforts in educating and implementing solutions that meet or exceed customers’ needs. To us, this means that teams own their automations, deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring. We focus our efforts on building scalable and reliable infrastructure that keeps our platform running smoothly.

General Responsibilities :

As a DevOps Engineer you will:

  • Automate our provisioning and configuration management following IaC best practices
  • Create and maintain automated scripts that will build, configure, deploy, and test applications deployed to different environments
  • Reduce human errors, increase quality and security through automation
  • Collaborate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Help determine system/application security requirements and develop security solutions
  • Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot production application issues

Desired Skills

  • Solid experience with AWS technologies such as EC2, ECS, S3, SQS, RDS, IAM, Lambda, Redshift, and CloudWatch
  • Managing cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP
  • Developing automation using tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
  • Running Docker containers on AWS ECS
  • Desire to automate repetitive tasks
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like GitHub actions, CircleCI, Maven
  • Monitoring production services using tools like AlertLogic, Akamai, New Relic, and OpsGenie
  • Working knowledge of web and application server management (e.g., Nginx, Tomcat, NodeJS)
  • Understand databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Redshift
  • Code repository best practices; Git, GitHub, “Git Flow” or other workflows
  • Understand how to build secure, performant, reliable, and durable systems/architecture
  • Security minded with an interest in protecting systems, infrastructure, and data
  • AWS and Terraform Certifications are a plus

Proficiencies :

  • 5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps
  • Hands on IaaS Administration (SDKs and CLI – AWS preferred)
  • Experience building, optimizing, hardening, and troubleshooting Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation
  • Experience with Bash, Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience implementing industry-standard security best practices
  • Deep knowledge of distributed pub-sub message systems

Education and Experience :

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps
