Job Description:

We are looking for a proficient DevOps Engineer with over 2 years of experience to join our client’s dynamic team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both software development and IT operations, along with expertise in various DevOps tools and practices. This role requires immediate to 45 days negotiable availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Create, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to ensure scalable and efficient deployment of applications.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Version Control Management: Utilize version control systems like Git to manage and maintain code repositories, ensuring efficient collaboration and code integrity.
• Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with software development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the development lifecycle, promoting a culture of continuous integration and delivery.
• Monitor System Performance: Monitor and analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary fixes to maintain high availability and reliability of services.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of DevOps processes, configurations, and best practices. Promote adherence to industry standards and best practices within the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of software development and IT operations, with proven experience in DevOps practices.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Version Control Systems: Strong understanding of version control systems like Git.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications: Certification in relevant DevOps tools and practices is a plus.
