Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer at GlobalLogic India, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, focusing on the deployment, support, and monitoring of both existing and new services, cloud platforms, and application stacks. Your expertise in automation, infrastructure management, and observability will be essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to set up end-to-end pipelines, implement best practices, and maintain a high level of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.
- Optimize the performance and reliability of cloud platforms and application stacks.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Observability and Monitoring:
- Implement and manage observability and APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Runscope, Dynatrace, Datadog, and Nagios.
- Develop monitoring strategies to ensure system health and performance.
- Analyze monitoring data to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Automation and Deployment:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Automate deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Ensure smooth deployment and support of new and existing services.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide DevOps solutions.
- Support and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for development and operations teams.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Utilize scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Go for automation tasks.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Shift Management:
- Comfortable working in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in SRE/DevOps roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in SRE/DevOps monitoring and deployment principles.
- Proficiency in automation with Python.
- Experience with observability and APM tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Runscope, Dynatrace, Datadog, Nagios).
- Hands-on experience with deployment, support, and monitoring of cloud platforms and application stacks.
- Expertise in setting up end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Proficiency in script programming (Shell, Python, Go).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptability to work in rotational shifts.
