Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and automating the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of our cloud-based infrastructure. Your role will involve working with various cloud platforms, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure as code, and leveraging your programming skills in Java or Python to enhance our DevOps processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery, contributing to the overall success of our technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Technology Management:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based applications and services.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Ensure version control and reproducibility of infrastructure deployments.
- Programming and Scripting:
- Utilize programming skills in Java or Python to develop automation scripts and tools.
- Integrate custom solutions into existing DevOps workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and security scanning in CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software delivery process.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Proactively identify and address potential problems before they impact operations.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely updates.
- Document processes, procedures, and solutions for knowledge sharing and continuity.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 4.5 – 12 years of relevant experience in DevOps roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Programming skills in Java and/or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
