Job Description:
As an AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure on AWS. You will leverage your expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools to enhance our client’s deployment processes and system reliability. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, proficiency in automation, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Implementation:
- Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Ensure seamless integration and continuous delivery of applications.
- Implement automated testing, code quality checks, and security scans.
- Infrastructure as Code:
- Utilize AWS Terraform to define, deploy, and manage infrastructure as code.
- Ensure consistency, reproducibility, and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure automation and management.
- Monitoring and Observability:
- Implement and manage monitoring and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Develop dashboards and alerts to monitor system health and performance.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability AWS infrastructure.
- Optimize resource usage and cost management within AWS environments.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Scripting and Automation:
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ruby to streamline operations.
- Create and maintain scripts for deployment, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
- Enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention through automation.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations for knowledge sharing and continuity.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud computing concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- AWS certification(s), such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
