Job Description:
We are currently hiring for the position of PHP & WordPress Developer. This role is open to both freshers and experienced candidates who are eager to contribute to exciting projects and advance their careers in web development. As a PHP & WordPress Developer at Erosteps, you will work on a variety of web development projects, customizing and optimizing WordPress websites, and writing clean, efficient PHP code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Web Development: Develop and maintain WordPress websites, including theme and plugin customization, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
- PHP Programming: Write clean, well-documented PHP code to develop custom functionalities and features for client websites.
- Customization and Integration: Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific client requirements and integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate client requirements into functional websites.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of websites across different browsers and devices, identifying and fixing bugs to ensure optimal performance.
- SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search engine rankings.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance, including loading times, to provide a seamless user experience.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing websites, ensuring they remain up-to-date and functional.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of development processes, customizations, and configurations.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our web development services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Platform Knowledge: Experience with WordPress, including theme and plugin development and customization.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and technical information to team members and clients.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in web development, particularly with PHP and WordPress, is a plus but not mandatory for freshers.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in web development, such as PHP Developer Certification or WordPress Developer Certification, are advantageous.
- Additional Skills: Experience with additional web development platforms and tools, as well as knowledge of other programming languages, is a plus.
