Description

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Developer to manage, develop and support web applications. The candidate must be able to successfully manage a team of people and delegate tasks based on skills. The candidate must have a desire to talk to and support customers, to learn what they value in order to move the business forward. The candidate will be a person who is creative, pragmatic, eager to learn and driven to find a better way of doing things daily. He/She must be able to clearly describe job duties to those they supervise, and lay out full plans to the management. A strong grasp of modern technology and social media is essential to the job profile.

Skills:

Required: JAVA 8, J2EE, Struts, Spring, Angular, Hibernate, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, Ajax, MySQL, External API Integration using CURL & JSON/XML
Good to Have: HTML, CSS, PHP, Experience with WordPress/Shopify/Magento or other eCommerce portals
Experience: 6-8 years Software Development Experience

Responsibilities:

• Mentor and train other peer developers and be a role model for best practices in technical development
• Motivate other team members to deliver best-in-class solutions and ideas. Work efficiently to remove platform impediments for the development team
• Provide best-in-class platform solutions that achieve or exceed business requirements
• Production of clean, structured, documented, efficient, error-free, and concise code
• Responsible for the full understanding of task requests and providing the best solutions based on both client and company needs, as well as overall development goals
• Effectively communicate and prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, and develop the best possible solutions within the timeline constraints provided
• Responsible for communicating risks, issues, or potential problems and escalating to the appropriate stakeholders, regardless of the size or scope of the issue at hand
• Analyze online experience of customer and recommend improvements to same and assess effectiveness of all key metrics and monitor all vendor service level agreement to ensure optimal quality of services to customer
• Responsible for using, understanding and training team on modern development tools to enhance system performance
• Prepare plans for team for applications and coordinate with engineering and technical product managers to prepare timeframe for projects
• Assist all internal parties to understand product deliverables and provide support to all activities on ecommerce platforms and ensure satisfaction of customer at all times
• Develop and supervise all activities and plans for various ecommerce projects and coordinate with product development team to prepare an effective schedule for project and ensure compliance to same
• Working in a team environment and able to share workload thereby meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Documenting Application Design & User Manuals, Resolving Development Bugs with existing Applications and Building Code from Scratch

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Web Developer
• 2+ years of experience as a Team Lead
• Detail oriented and work well in a team and individually
• Understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• Ability to self-improve on an ongoing basis; facilitate self-learning and teaching other team members
• Exceptional multi-tasking, problem solving and debugging skills
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times
• Excellent organizational, time, and project management skills
• Business-minded approach to time, costs, and deadlines
• Strong analytical skills, quick learner and trouble-shooter
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility for project tasks/outcomes
• eCommerce experience is a plus
