Quality Matrix, a leading software testing and quality assurance company, is currently seeking an experienced Test Automation SME with 5-6 years of relevant experience for our Hyderabad location. As a Test Automation SME, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through comprehensive automation testing. If you have expertise in UL, functional, white box testing (using Java, Scala, or any other language), and integration testing for applications running on Linux, along with a deep understanding of Java and/or Scala programming, we invite you to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview: As a Test Automation SME at Quality Matrix, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation test cases for UL, functional, white box, and integration testing of applications running on Linux. Your strong Java and/or Scala programming skills will enable you to understand and write unit and integration tests for Java and/or Scala application code. You will build automation frameworks from scratch and leverage your expertise in tools and libraries like Selenium, Apache Commons HttpNing, jsoup, XML, JSON, SVN, Jenkins, and databases (NoSQL, SQL) to develop comprehensive and efficient automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design test strategies for UL, functional, white box, and integration testing of applications on Linux.
2. Test Automation Development: Build and maintain automation frameworks from scratch, leveraging Java and/or Scala programming to write unit and integration tests.
3. Automation Tool Expertise: Utilize Java and/or Scala libraries (e.g., Selenium, Apache Commons HttpNing, jsoup, XML libraries, JSON libraries) to access web elements, XML, JSON, and interact with SVN, Jenkins, and databases.
4. REST API Testing: Develop and execute automated tests for REST API testing and performance testing using tools like JMeter and Gatling.
5. Version Control: Work with version control systems like SVN and Git to manage test scripts and code.
6. Test Environment Setup: Familiarity with UNIX commands to access remote servers, work with file systems, and search logs using regular expressions.
7. Test Reporting: Prepare and present test reports, highlighting test results, and providing insights to project stakeholders.
8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the development and testing teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests.

Required Skills:

1. UL, Functional, and White Box Testing: Proven experience in UL, functional, and white box testing for applications running on Linux.
2. Java and/or Scala Programming: Expertise in Java and/or Scala programming to understand, develop, and maintain test scripts.
3. Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
4. Automation Tools: Proficiency in using automation tools like Selenium, Apache Commons HttpNing, jsoup, XML, JSON, SVN, Jenkins, NoSQL, and SQL databases.
5. Unit and Integration Testing: Ability to write and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit, TestNG, ScalaTest, and ScalaCheck.
6. REST API Testing: Familiarity with REST API testing and performance testing using JMeter and Gatling.
7. Version Control: Understanding and experience with version control systems like SVN and Git.
8. UNIX Commands: Knowledge of UNIX commands for accessing remote servers, working with file systems, and searching logs using regular expressions.
9. Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Skills:

1. Web Technologies: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM.
2. Build Tools: Familiarity with build tools like Maven and SBT.
