Position:Test Automation Engineer
Location: Kochi, Kerala, India.
Job Summary:
As a Test Automation Engineer at Testing Mavens, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our clients’ software applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA analysts, to identify test requirements, create test plans, and implement automated test solutions. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of test automation frameworks and possess expertise in any technology stack such as Selenium-Java, Protractor-Javascript, Cypress-Javascript, or Webdriverio-Javascript. Additionally, knowledge of API testing and familiarity with the QA process will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand software requirements and define test objectives and strategies.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation frameworks and tools.
- Identify and document test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct test result analysis, defect tracking, and reporting to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Perform regression testing to validate software modifications and enhancements.
- Continuously enhance and maintain automated test suites for maximum test coverage and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing processes and improve overall testing effectiveness.
- Work closely with developers and QA analysts to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with development standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-6 years of experience in test automation, preferably within a software development or testing environment.
- Proficiency in any technology stack such as Selenium-Java, Protractor-Javascript, Cypress-Javascript, or Webdriverio-Javascript.
- Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with API testing and experience using tools such as Postman or SoapUI is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
