Role Overview:

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our client’s software products. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Python in the AWS Cloud Infrastructure. You will collaborate with the testing team to optimize test cases, integrate automation into the continuous integration process, and perform end-to-end regression tests. Your attention to detail and ability to trace test cases to requirements will ensure test completeness and facilitate defect management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Development: Utilize Python to develop test automation scripts running in AWS Cloud Infrastructure to validate the functionality and performance of software applications.
  • Test Case Design: Design and optimize test cases, ensuring they meet the necessary requirements, and conduct peer reviews to maintain the highest quality standards.
  • End-to-End Regression Testing: Develop and execute maintainable automation tests as part of the end-to-end regression testing process, identifying potential defects early in the development cycle.
  • Continuous Integration: Integrate project testing with the continuous integration process, contributing to a seamless and efficient development and testing workflow.
  • Defect Management: Execute ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) test cases and promptly raise defects for product non-conformance, working closely with the development team for timely resolution.
  • Traceability and Test Completeness: Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements, and perform thorough testing to achieve test completeness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: You should have 4 to 9 years of experience in Test Automation and Quality Assurance.
  • API Testing: Proficiency in API testing to ensure seamless integration and communication between different software components.
  • Selenium: Strong expertise in using Selenium for automating web application testing.
  • Python: Hands-on experience in Python programming to develop robust automation scripts.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with AWS Cloud Infrastructure and its services for test automation.
  • Continuous Integration: Experience in integrating test automation with the continuous integration process for smooth project development.
  • ALM and Defect Management: Working knowledge of ALM tools and defect management processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify defects and troubleshoot issues.
  • Team Player: Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
