Position: Sr. QA Automation Engineer with Frontend Knowledge
Location: Chennai, India
Overview: Mobileprogramming LLC is urgently seeking experienced Sr. QA Automation Engineers with frontend knowledge to join our team. As a Sr. QA Automation Engineer, you will contribute to our frontend testing efforts and collaborate effectively with the development team. We are looking for candidates with 5 to 10 years of experience, strong expertise in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, and the ability to work with both web and mobile applications. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to frontend testing efforts and collaborate effectively with the development team.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Conduct white-box testing to ensure code quality and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and improve overall product quality.
- Utilize test automation tools and follow automation best practices.
- Perform frontend testing using modern technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Test Adobe CQ applications, if applicable.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, provide guidance, and promote best practices in testing methodologies.
- Perform performance/load testing, if applicable.
- Validate responses against backend systems, reference systems, and log issues when necessary.
- Utilize test management tools like Jira and TestRail.
- Have good knowledge of E-commerce site and CMS testing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent with relevant experience.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the field of QA automation.
- Expertise in frontend testing and collaborating effectively with the development team.
- Experience in developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of white-box testing skills.
- Ability to collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting exploratory testing.
- Working knowledge of test automation tools and automation best practices.
- Proficiency in frontend testing using modern technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with testing Adobe CQ applications is a plus.
- Mentoring skills to guide and support junior QA engineers.
- Practical experience in performance/load testing is a plus.
- Ability to validate responses against backend systems and reference systems.
- Familiarity with test management tools like Jira and TestRail.
- Good understanding of E-commerce site and CMS testing.
