Job Summary: As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of high-quality software products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases to ensure the software meets the highest standards of quality and performance. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our web-based, mobile, and unified communication-related products and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  2. Execute test cases and perform manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
  3. Utilize Behavior Driven Development (BDD) processes and automation frameworks like Cucumber, Behave, and SpaceFlow to streamline testing processes.
  4. Perform API testing using tools like JMeter and Postman to verify the functionality and performance of APIs.
  5. Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) tools such as JUnit to promote a culture of test automation within the development team.
  6. Use web and mobile automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, Test Complete, and SilkTest to automate repetitive test cases and improve test efficiency.
  7. Work with continuous integration environments and tools, including Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and AWS, to integrate testing processes seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
  8. Report and track defects using bug tracking systems, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  9. Participate in team meetings to discuss test results, share insights, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  10. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance to enhance the overall testing process.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or a related role.
  2. Strong experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) processes and automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Behave, and SpaceFlow.
  3. Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, APIs, and API testing tools like JMeter and Postman.
  4. Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) tools, including JUnit, to support test automation efforts.
  5. Proficiency in web and mobile automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, Test Complete, and SilkTest.
  6. Understanding of continuous integration environments and tools, including Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and AWS.
  7. Hands-on experience in developing and testing web-based, mobile, and unified communication-related products and solutions.
  8. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
