Job Description:

As an SDET Engineer at Comcast, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through automation testing. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test scripts using Java Selenium and Appium, as well as utilizing your strong coding skills to enhance our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using Java Selenium and Appium.
  • Test Planning: Collaborate with the QA team to plan and design test scenarios and test cases that align with project requirements.
  • Coding Skills: Utilize your coding expertise to enhance automation frameworks and improve testing efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform end-to-end testing to identify defects, report issues, and validate bug fixes.
  • Appium Testing: Leverage your Appium testing experience to ensure the functionality and compatibility of mobile applications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites for comprehensive coverage.
  • Test Execution: Execute test cases, analyze test results, and provide valuable insights to improve software quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test scripts, test cases, and test results.
  • Short Notice Testing: Prioritize and conduct testing for short notice releases to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the software meets quality standards and performance expectations.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues, escalating critical problems to the relevant teams.
  • Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in automation testing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
  • Strong expertise in Java programming language.
  • Proficiency in Selenium and Appium for web and mobile application testing.
  • Excellent coding skills and the ability to develop and maintain automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with test planning, test case design, and execution.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
