Position: Software Automation Testing Expert

Overview: Birdeye, a leading customer experience platform, is seeking a skilled Software Automation Testing Expert to join our team. As a QA Expert, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. We are looking for professionals with 4 to 6 years of experience in software automation testing, strong knowledge of Java, website testing, API testing, and database testing. Responsibilities:

  • Perform software automation testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of Birdeye’s products.
  • Conduct website testing and participate in the release cycle, ensuring all functionalities are thoroughly tested.
  • Carry out API testing and automation, verifying the functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Microservice Architecture and deployment services, testing the scalability and reliability of services.
  • Utilize hands-on experience in database testing using MySQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify and resolve issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide timely updates on testing progress and issues.
  • Apply practical knowledge of the Selenium web automation framework to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts.
  • Utilize tools such as TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and Selenium-Grid to enhance the testing process and test execution.
  • Implement API testing and automation using Rest-Assured to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
  • Perform database testing, including data verification, data integrity, and database performance testing.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in software automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Java programming language.
  • Hands-on experience in website testing and familiarity with the software release cycle.
  • Working experience in API testing and automation, ensuring functional correctness and performance.
  • Knowledge of Microservice Architecture and deployment services, understanding scalability and reliability aspects.
  • Proficiency in database testing using MySQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Practical knowledge of the Selenium web automation framework for designing and executing test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and Selenium-Grid for efficient test management and execution.
  • Good knowledge of API testing and automation using Rest-Assured framework.
