Job Summary: As a Software Automation Test Engineer at Siemens, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the product, creating and executing test strategies, reviewing test cases, and driving continuous improvements in the testing process. - Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product and its features.
- Interpret feature requirements and assess their applicability in the intended environment setup.
- Review software against requirements to ensure complete fulfillment.
- Create and execute the test strategy, ensuring its alignment with the testing processes.
- Review test cases for correctness, consistency, and adequacy.
- Execute and review test scripts within the homegrown automation test environment.
- Evaluate software testing for compliance with standards applicable to Safety Critical applications.
- Identify areas for process improvement and suggest enhancements in approaches and product testing.
- Take ownership of testing processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
- Drive continuous learning and improvement initiatives within the team.
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in software testing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education.
- Proficiency in software testing methodologies and practices.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
