Job Summary: YML is seeking a dynamic Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital solutions. As a senior member of the Quality Assurance team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of testing strategies, and leverage your expertise to deliver outstanding digital experiences. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures to validate the functionality, performance, and usability of digital solutions.
- Utilize your expertise in manual and automated testing to execute testing across various stages of the development lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor junior QA team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the team’s growth and effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues through rigorous testing and detailed analysis.
- Contribute to the development of testing strategies, providing input to enhance testing processes.
- Document and report defects using established defect tracking tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and isolate issues for effective resolution.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and communicate defects effectively.
- Provide clear and concise test reports, communicating test results, progress, and potential risks to project stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in testing methodologies.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior QA team members, showcasing your leadership and coaching abilities.
- Strong command of both manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
- Excellent understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, emphasizing your academic foundation.
