Position: Senior Firmware Test Engineer
Location: Viman Nagar, Pune

These products include thermal controllers, communication cards, communication gateways, and on-premise monitoring solutions.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Firmware Test Engineer to perform validation and verification of our Advanced Control Firmware. The successful candidate will be responsible for test planning, creation of test cases, test execution, and development of test automation software. A strong background in UI testing, test automation development, requirements review, test planning, and network protocols is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other engineering groups, team leads, and product management to ensure the software meets product requirements.
- Create comprehensive product test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug test software and product interactions.
- Develop software tools and scripts to automate test tasks and improve efficiency.
- Set up and configure test network environments for devices under test.
- Document technical issues and provide effective solutions and fixes.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in the testing process and suggest enhancements.
- Report activities, project status, and plans to the team lead and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 7 to 10 years as a Firmware Test Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of firmware testing methodologies, test planning, and test case creation.
- Proficiency in UI testing, including the ability to assess usability and user experience.
- Experience in developing test automation software using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with requirements review processes and the ability to ensure test coverage based on product specifications.
- Understanding of network protocols and ability to work with network testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
