Job Summary: As a Senior Automation Test Engineer at Imaginnovate, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and implementing automated testing solutions. Your expertise in API automation, core Java, and Selenium will be instrumental in building and using automation frameworks to deliver high-quality software that meets our clients’ needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in an Agile environment to continuously improve the testing process and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and experience in planning, designing, and executing test cases to validate software functionalities and user requirements.
- Proficient in coding using Core Java and Selenium to develop robust and maintainable automated test scripts.
- Build and use automation frameworks using technologies such as Java, Selenium, Cucumber, JBehave, Soap UI, REST, JSON, and XML, leveraging tools like Eclipse IDE.
- Conduct various types of testing, including Functional, Usability, Compatibility, Accessibility, Regression, and Requirements/Documentation testing, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand system requirements, identify test scenarios, and create detailed test plans.
- Demonstrated expertise in web application testing involving JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Familiarity with common tools and technologies used in testing, such as SQL, XML, JSON, Fiddler, Postman, and HP ALM, to facilitate efficient and effective testing processes.
- Experience in API Testing, with a deep understanding of client-server architecture and communication principles.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and UNIX for database testing and system integration.
- Enhance and maintain Selenium scripts and integrate them with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Bamboo to ensure reliable and consistent test automation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, actively participating in Agile ceremonies, and adapting testing strategies accordingly.
- Ability to lead multiple test paths simultaneously, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality results within tight timelines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, promoting critical thinking and ensuring thorough testing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies, tools, and processes to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 4+ years in Automation Testing, specifically with a focus on API Automation and Java-based testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in Core Java, Selenium, and other related testing tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and software testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with various testing types and techniques, including functional, regression, and usability testing.
- Hands-on experience in web application testing with strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of client-server architecture and communication principles for API testing.
- Familiarity with SQL, UNIX, and other relevant testing technologies/tools.
- Previous experience working in an Agile team and contributing to Agile ceremonies.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
