Position: SDET/QA Professional

PLM Systems Ltd, a leading technology company, is currently seeking an experienced SDET/QA professional to join our team. If you have a minimum of 5 years of testing experience and possess strong technical capabilities to automate given requirements, we invite you to apply for this position. The role requires expertise in functional testing, database technologies such as SQL Server/Oracle, programming languages like Java, Cucumber, TestNG, Selenium, and experience with code versioning tools like Git. Knowledge of financial markets and products will be an added advantage.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of testing experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software testing. Proven experience in functional testing is required.
  • Strong functional testing concepts and technical capabilities: Possess strong understanding and knowledge of functional testing concepts. Ability to translate requirements into effective and accurate test scenarios and test cases.
  • Database technologies: Hands-on experience with database technologies such as SQL Server or Oracle. Familiarity with writing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data for testing purposes.
  • Unix environment: Experience working in a Unix environment, including command line operations and shell scripting.
  • Strong programming skills: Proficient in programming languages like Java. Hands-on experience in writing efficient and maintainable code for test automation using frameworks like Cucumber, TestNG, and Selenium.
  • XPATH: Ability to write effective and accurate XPATH expressions for locating elements in XML or HTML documents.
  • JSON and XML processing: Experience in working with JSON and XML programmatically using Java. Ability to modify, read, and perform operations on JSON and XML data structures.
  • Code versioning tools: Hands-on experience with code versioning tools like Git. Proficient in resolving conflicts, branching, and handling pull requests.
  • UI Development platforms: Good understanding of UI development platforms and how UI renders events and interactions. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • API Automation using Rest Assured: Experience in API automation using Rest Assured framework would be a great advantage.
  • Effective communication skills: Possess strong verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in functional testing: Demonstrated expertise in functional testing. Ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Team player: Must be a good team player, able to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive working relationships.
  • Proactive and willing to learn: Proactive approach towards problem-solving and learning new technologies and tools. Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Understanding of financial markets and products: Knowledge and experience in financial markets and financial products will be an added advantage.
