Job Summary:

LTIMindtree is seeking a talented Quality Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to contribute to our software testing efforts. This role holds added significance for candidates with experience in the Investment Banking or Financial industry. The successful candidate will be well-versed in testing processes and defect management, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be comfortable with both manual and automation testing. Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Zephyr (or similar test management tools), SQL, and a balanced blend of manual and automated testing capabilities are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications, focusing on functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage by conducting both manual and automated tests.
  • Effectively manage defects by identifying, documenting, tracking, and reporting issues using established defect management processes.
  • Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to facilitate timely defect resolution and ensure high-quality software deliverables.
  • Utilize testing tools and frameworks, including JIRA and Zephyr (or similar), to manage test cases, test execution, and test reporting.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct thorough exploratory testing to identify potential areas of improvement and uncover hidden defects.
  • Monitor testing progress and provide regular updates to project stakeholders and management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements and sharing best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a preference for candidates with experience in the Investment Banking or Financial industry.
  • Strong understanding of software testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in defect management processes and tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills to effectively identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate testing results and issues clearly.
  • Working knowledge of testing tools like JIRA, Zephyr (or similar test management tools), and SQL.
  • Ability to design and execute both manual and automated test cases.
  • Experience with automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
