Responsibilities:

  1. Test Automation Expertise:
    • Demonstrate strong expertise in working on Test Automation projects, with a focus on automation QA methodologies.
    • Develop and maintain automation scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
    • Implement, execute, and maintain automated test cases to ensure the stability and reliability of our enterprise products.
  2. SQL Server / Database Testing:
    • Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in SQL server and database testing.
    • Capable of writing and executing complex SQL Join scripts to validate data accuracy and integrity.
  3. Automation Framework Development:
    • Contribute to the design and development of reusable and scalable automation frameworks.
    • Experience in building automation frameworks, preferably for enterprise-level products, will be an advantage.
  4. OOPS Concept and Problem-Solving:
    • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) concepts and their application in automation development.
    • Possess exceptional debugging and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve defects effectively.
  5. Testing Productivity Components:
    • Design and develop enterprise-wide, reusable testing productivity components and frameworks to streamline the testing process.
  6. Application Development and Systems Knowledge:
    • Working knowledge of application development and familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems.
    • Utilize this knowledge to ensure comprehensive testing across different environments.
  7. QA Process and Methodology:
    • Acquainted with QA processes, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Demonstrate business acumen in understanding the technical development organization’s needs and aligning QA strategies accordingly.
  8. SDLC Tools and Bug Tracking:
    • Experience in using one or more SDLC tools like Bugzilla, Jira, etc., for issue tracking and management.
  9. Investment Banking Domain:
    • Exposure to the investment banking domain, particularly trading, will be highly beneficial.
  10. Bug Life Cycle and Testing Life Cycle:
    • In-depth understanding of bug life cycle and testing life cycle, with hands-on experience in managing defects throughout the testing process.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python, Shell Scripting, or any other scripting language will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in designing and implementing testing automation frameworks and methodologies using Python.
  • Familiarity with integrating test automation framework modules.
  • Worked on projects using matured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Iterative, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of X years (mention the required experience as per your company’s policy) in Test Automation projects and database testing.
  • Relevant certifications in QA or software testing will be an advantage.
