We are currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated QA Lead to join our India studio in Bangalore.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 4.5 years of hands-on experience in bug reporting within the mobile games industry.
  • Experience leading a QA team for a minimum of one year, demonstrating the ability to mentor and guide testers effectively.
  • Proficiency in testing server-dependent applications and writing comprehensive test plans.
  • Familiarity with vetting bugs, managing databases, and ensuring accurate bug tracking and resolution.
  • Possess a methodical, scientific, and analytical mindset, with a strong focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and team members.
  • In-depth knowledge of the mobile, PC, and console gaming landscape, including hardware and software considerations.
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry, with a deep understanding of mobile game development processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the QA Process: As the QA Lead at Kwalee’s India studio, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire QA process, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with the development and production teams to ensure that priorities are well-understood and expectations are set for game releases and updates.
  2. Mentor and Train QA Testers: You will play a key role in mentoring and training the QA testers, helping them improve their testing methodologies, bug reporting techniques, and overall understanding of the game testing process. Your guidance will be critical in fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the QA team.
  3. Build Test Plans and Strategies: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies that cover all aspects of game testing, including functional testing, compatibility testing, regression testing, and more. Your expertise in the mobile games industry will help ensure thorough testing coverage for all games developed by the studio.
  4. Bug Reporting and Database Management: Lead bug reporting activities, vetting bugs for accuracy, and managing bug databases to ensure that all issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner. Your methodical approach will play a vital role in maintaining the quality of Kwalee’s game releases.
  5. Stay Updated on Gaming Landscape: Keep yourself updated with the latest developments in the mobile, PC, and console gaming landscape, including hardware and software advancements. This knowledge will help you make informed decisions about testing strategies and quality assurance processes.
