Job Summary:

As a QA Lead at Comviva, you will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance process for our software solutions. Your expertise in automation testing, API testing, Unix, SQL, and server testing will be critical in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products. You will work closely with the development team, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects, interpret logs, and handle errors effectively.

Responsibilities:

  1. Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and identify defects.
  2. API Testing: Conduct thorough API testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality of web services.
  3. Unix and SQL: Utilize your knowledge of Unix and SQL to query and manipulate data for testing purposes.
  4. Server Testing: Conduct server testing to validate the performance and stability of server components.
  5. Error Handling: Interpret logs and handle errors effectively to identify root causes and resolve defects.
  6. Test Scenario and Test Case Design: Create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to ensure thorough test coverage.
  7. Test Execution: Execute test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and track them to resolution.
  8. Regression Testing: Perform regular regression testing to validate that software updates and changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  9. Test Reporting: Document test results and defects in a clear and concise manner, and provide regular status updates to the team and stakeholders.
  10. Collaboration: Work closely with the development team, product managers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodologies to enhance overall testing efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 6-9 years of experience in quality assurance, with expertise in Automation, SQL, Linux/Unix, and API testing.
  2. Hands-on experience in server testing, with a deep understanding of software server components.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively interpret logs and handle errors.
  4. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting will be an advantage.
  5. Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  7. Ability to work independently and lead the QA process effectively.
