Role Overview:

As a QA Engineer/ SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our esteemed client’s software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automation frameworks, automate test cases, and conduct thorough testing to ensure comprehensive coverage. This position requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies, experience in test automation, and the ability to create and execute test plans to validate the functionality and expected behavior of the software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Automation Frameworks: Collaborate with the development and testing teams to design and develop robust automation frameworks that facilitate efficient and effective test automation.
  • Automate Test Cases: Utilize your expertise in automation tools and programming languages to automate test cases and test scenarios, increasing test efficiency and coverage.
  • Test Design: Design and implement test plans and test cases based on Agile specifications and requirements to ensure accurate validation of the software functionality.
  • Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze test results, and report defects in a timely manner to the development team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, automation enhancement, and share best practices with the team to improve overall testing efficiency and product quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Experience: Proven work experience as a QA Engineer, Software Developer in Test (SDET), or similar role, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
  • Strong Coding Skills: Proficiency in coding using Python is a must. You should have hands-on experience in writing well-structured, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • SQL Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform database testing.
  • Linux/Unix: Familiarity with Linux or Unix environments and the ability to work effectively with command-line tools.
  • Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and the ability to adapt testing practices accordingly.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, along with the capacity to think critically and analyze complex scenarios.
  • Team Player: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate test strategies, results, and defects clearly.
