Key Responsibilities:
As a QA Engineer (Automation), your primary responsibilities will include:
- Test Automation: Developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium and Java to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Test Planning: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create detailed test plans and strategies for projects.
- Test Case Design: Designing and documenting test cases and test scenarios to cover various aspects of software functionality.
- Test Execution: Executing automated test cases, performing functional, regression, and integration testing, and reporting defects and issues.
- API Testing: Conducting API testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of APIs.
- Defect Tracking: Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects and issues, and working closely with the development team for their resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improving and optimizing test automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting: Generating and maintaining test reports and status updates to communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that software products meet and exceed quality standards and are ready for release.
Required Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 2-5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation testing.
- Selenium: Proficiency in using Selenium for automated testing of web applications.
- Java: Strong coding skills in Java for test script development and maintenance.
- API Testing: Experience in API testing to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
- Test Planning: The ability to create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Test Case Design: Proficiency in designing and documenting test cases and test scenarios.
- Defect Tracking: Strong skills in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects and issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
