Responsibilities:

  1. Create comprehensive testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and bug reports to ensure a structured and organized testing process.
  2. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers, to understand product challenges and deliver high-quality solutions.
  3. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback to ensure a clear understanding of testing objectives.
  4. Conduct QA tests and verify outcomes within specified schedules and timelines to meet project milestones.
  5. Foster strong collaboration across multiple teams, actively engaging with software engineers and other stakeholders to achieve efficient testing processes and project success.
  6. Develop and manage operational processes to align QA practices with technology delivery standards, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  7. Effectively communicate and address scope changes that may impact testing efforts, providing a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  8. Mentor other team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster professional growth within the QA team.
  9. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Test Automation principles and practices, driving continuous improvement in test automation efforts.
  10. Utilize hands-on experience with API testing tools, such as SOAP UI and ReadyAPI, to verify API functionality and integration.
  11. Apply hands-on experience with Selenium, including framework design and implementation, to automate web application testing.
  12. Demonstrate proficiency in Java and Groovy scripting to develop and maintain test scripts and frameworks.
  13. Create performance test cases using tools like JMeter, ensuring software performance meets specified requirements.
  14. Understand business logic and user scenarios to design test cases that accurately reflect real-world usage.
  15. Possess a solid foundation in Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), and Data Structures to build efficient and effective test scenarios.
  16. Exhibit strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, identifying and resolving issues during the testing process.
  17. Display a good understanding of SQL, enabling effective database testing.
  18. Utilize hands-on experience with bug management tools to efficiently track and resolve reported issues.
  19. Demonstrate familiarity with Git version control to collaborate effectively within the development team.
  20. Contribute to Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) practices, integrating testing processes seamlessly into the development workflow.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a QA Engineer or related role, with 2 to 10 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in test automation, utilizing tools like Selenium and API testing tools (SOAP UI, ReadyAPI).
  7. Proficiency in Java and Groovy scripting for test automation and framework development.
