Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Perform manual testing as needed to ensure the overall quality of the software applications.
  • Identify and report defects, issues, and inconsistencies through detailed and clear bug reports.
  • Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide valuable input from a testing perspective.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to validate bug fixes and software enhancements.
  • Create and maintain test documentation including test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and strategies by staying updated with industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the development team to reproduce, isolate, and resolve defects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer with 3.5 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong expertise in both automation testing and manual testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report testing progress.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, continuous integration, and continuous deployment processes is a plus.
  • ISTQB certification or any other relevant testing certification is a bonus.
