Position:QA Automation – Senior Manager
Location: Kolkata
Role and Responsibilities:
Take end-to-end responsibility for the effective planning and delivery of test automation frameworks and automation projects on large-scale complex strategic and/or transformative projects, following relevant Test Automation Methodologies.
Plan, direct, coordinate, and report on test automation delivery activities, starting from automation test strategy and planning. Lead, direct, and oversee a team of resources working across multiple workstreams and projects.
Contribute to the delivery of IT Projects through methodologies such as Agile Scrum/Kanban and traditional Waterfall (when required), leveraging your domain knowledge and sector experience.
Create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, utilizing knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems.
Understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients.
People responsibilities:
Manage the large automation test teams (~80-100 people).
Build a quality culture within the team.
Encourage risk-taking abilities to think of out-of-the-box solutions.
Foster teamwork and build career development frameworks for test automation associates.
Handle hiring and onboarding for all automation requirements.
Promote automation initiatives across the practice to foster a culture of innovation.
Technical/Domain skills:
QA accreditation (ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, or a similar IT accreditation from a recognized accreditation body).
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a full-time test automation role, with at least 4 years in a hands-on automation architect role.
Expertise in selecting and building test automation frameworks and tools.
Experience in tool evaluation and selection.
Prior experience in leading a team of automation engineers.
Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: Selenium WebDriver with Java/C#/Python/JS, Appium, Protractor, Tricentis Tosca, Ranorex, UFT, Postman, RestAssured.
Familiarity with code reviews, design patterns, and implementing best practices in test automation.
Expert knowledge of a CI system to create builds.
Proficient in Agile development practices, including ATDD, TDD, and BDD.
Structured approach to problem-solving and self-starter with the ability to work independently, managing workload with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to suit a mix of audiences.
