Role Overview: As a Python Automation Test Engineer at Apexon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through robust automation testing practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using Python, as well as leveraging Selenium or Appium for UI testing. Your proficiency in writing comprehensive test cases and utilizing test frameworks will contribute to the enhancement of our testing processes.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand software requirements and design effective test plans.
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Python, contributing to efficient testing practices.
- Utilize Selenium or Appium for UI automation, ensuring the accuracy and functionality of web and mobile applications.
- Write clear and comprehensive test cases that cover various scenarios and ensure thorough software validation.
- Contribute to the selection and implementation of appropriate test frameworks, enhancing testing efficiency and coverage.
- Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes, enhancements, and changes to software applications.
- Identify and report defects, working closely with developers to facilitate their resolution.
- Collaborate on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to integrate automated tests.
- Proactively participate in design and requirement reviews, offering insights from a testing perspective.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools to drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Python Automation Test Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, with the ability to design and develop automation scripts.
- Expertise in Automation Testing methodologies and tools, with hands-on experience in Selenium or Appium.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases that cover a wide range of scenarios.
- Familiarity with various test frameworks and the ability to select and implement the most suitable framework for the project.
- Experience with UI testing using Selenium or Appium for web and mobile applications.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report testing progress.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems is a plus.
