Job Summary: Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs is in search of a dynamic Lead QA Engineer who can spearhead quality assurance efforts and drive excellence in testing practices. As a Lead QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our digital solutions. Your extensive experience in API Automation, Automation Testing, and team leadership will contribute to the successful delivery of innovative and high-quality products.

- Lead and manage a team of at least 4 to 5 QA Engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure effective testing processes and team growth.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures for various types of testing, including Functional Testing, Automation Testing, and API Automation (using Rest Assured).
- Utilize your expertise in API Automation (Rest Assured) to validate the integrity and functionality of backend systems and interfaces.
- Design and maintain automated test scripts, leveraging Automation Testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Showcase strong problem-solving skills to identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues through rigorous testing and detailed analysis.
- Provide clear and concise test reports, communicating test results, progress, and potential risks to project stakeholders.
- Lead and contribute to the development of testing strategies, process improvements, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
- Have exposure to ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing, enhancing your testing capabilities.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- 8 to 10 years of proven experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in API Automation, Automation Testing, and Functional Testing.
- Proficiency in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Expertise in API Automation using Rest Assured to validate backend functionality and data interactions.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of QA Engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Strong command of Automation Testing frameworks and tools to develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Exposure to ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing is a plus, showcasing your diverse testing capabilities.
- Excellent understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, emphasizing your academic foundation.
