Position: Java SDET Engineer

Job Summary: As a Java SDET Engineer at HCLTech, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Core Java, Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, and REST API/Assured. Create robust and scalable automation frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  2. Test Execution and Reporting: Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement. Prepare and present test reports to stakeholders.
  3. Code Scripting: Comfortably write code scripts at an intermediate level, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of automated tests.
  4. Domain Knowledge: Good to have experience in the banking/finance domain, understanding the specific requirements and challenges of the industry.
  5. Client Interaction: Experience interacting with clients/customers is an added advantage, as you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and address queries.
  6. Automation Testing Tools: Demonstrate a strong understanding of various automation testing tools and technologies to optimize testing processes.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other team members to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Java SDET Engineer or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Core Java and hands-on experience in Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, and REST API/Assured for test automation.
  • Intermediate-level coding skills for creating and maintaining test scripts.
  • Familiarity with automation testing tools and technologies.
  • Good to have domain knowledge in banking/finance.
  • Experience in interacting with clients/customers is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey test results and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
